A thirsty bear can be seen up close drinking water from a pond on a hot summer day.

The great footage was captured at the National Park System located in the Chiricahua Mountains of southeastern Arizona in the United States and was shared on 7th August.

A big bear is seen leaning on one paw and stretching its snout to the pond, sipping refreshing water.

Chiricahua National Monument posted this video in order to warn tourists about the high temperatures in the area and to remind them about hydration.

They wrote: “It’s still hot out here. If you’re planning to hike in our Southeast Arizona Parks, don’t forget to plan accordingly and bring plenty of water. On hot days, the average recommendation is one litre per hour. Salty snacks and electrolyte replacements are also a great idea.”
