A young soldier proposed to his girlfriend before marching off in a military parade.

Maximilien, 26, an officer cadet of the Military School of Aspirants of Cotquidan in Guer, went down on one knee in the center of the Champs Elysees in Paris France on 14th of July. The moment the young man knelt down in front of his future wife, Justine happened minutes before the Military Parade in Paris for The French National Day celebrating the anniversary of the Storming of the Bastille. The romantic moment was shared by the French Army on its Twitter account. The officer cadet was able to put the ring on his future wife’s finger before kissing her, after the future bride said yes. The audience erupted in cheers almost immediately.

The cadet said: “I’ve been thinking about it for two months. Justine is a photographer, so I knew she’d show up for the parade on 14th July. Asking her to marry me on the world’s most gorgeous avenue will always be a memorable experience for both of us.”
