Aerial Suppression Efforts On The Juniper Fire Spot

Modoc County, California

Aerial firefighting crews are responding to the growing Juniper Fire in northern Modoc County spreading water over the flames. The fire began west of Davis Creek near the South Mountain Reservoir in the Modoc National Forest on Monday afternoon (5 July). The Juniper Fire was last reported at 964 acres and 15 per cent containment on 6th July. Aircraft and other resources were requested on the spot to combat the spread of the wildfires. No further details are known.
