After Metal Monoliths Comes Wooden Todgers As Second One Appears In Germany

A second mysterious wooden penis has popped up, this time on a pathway near Lake Constance in Germany following a spate of metal monoliths that have appeared in different locations around the world.

Residents in the district of Taldorf in the city of Ravensburg in the German state of Baden-Wurttemberg, famous for its jigsaw puzzle production, were surprised to see the 6.6-foot tall erection after it appeared next to the path overnight at the weekend.

The tall wooden penis is the second to be erected in Germany after one reappeared on a ridge on the 1,738-metre (5,702-foot) high Grunten Mountain in the Allgau mountain range in the German state of Bavaria at the end of 2020.

Newsflash

Norbert Zeberle, former manager of the nearby Gruintenhutte lodge near were the first wooden penis appeared in November last year said: “It is nice when you can laugh about something like this in times of COVID-19.”

The local authorities are relaxed about the phallic monument as it sits on private property and is not directly on the mountain trail.

The Ravensburg authorities are also relaxed about the appearance of the new monument and decided to leave it for the time being as it is not causing an obstruction, and they confirmed that despite being fairly heavy it was carefully fixed into the ground and no danger that might fall over and injure anybody.

Newsflash

The identity of the person who placed the two-metre-tall penis next to the path in Ravensburg remains unknown.

There are no indications whether this one will also be listed by Google Maps as a ‘cultural monument’ like its twin in Allgau.

It is also unknown whether the emergence of the wooden sculptures in Germany has any correlation with the metal monoliths.
