Batman Mask Girl From Florida Has To Leave Russia Before Final Surgery Because Of Visa Problems

The ‘batman girl’ who was born with a birthmark like mask on her face has been forced to stop treatment to have it removed shortly before the last operation in Russia – because her visa ran out.

Little Luna Tavares Fenner has been getting treatment for the giant melanocytic nevus on her face in the city of Krasnodar in the Russian federal subject of Krasnodar Krai for two years now.

But according to the news website Komsomolskaya Pravda, despite the amazing results she has been forced to postpone the last operation and fly back to the United States with her mother because their visa ran out.

Luna’s mother, Carol, announced that they had to return home with a post she shared on her Instagram page on 7th June.

She said, “We had three days to buy the flight ticket and come back home because our visa expired yesterday. I thought we would be able to finish all the surgeries, but no.

“Now it’s time to wait for an authorization from the Russian Consulate to go back soon.”

Although sad that the last operation and a return to normality could not happen as quickly as planned, she said there were compensations, writing: “We’ve already arrived home, and Luna was so excited and happy to meet Daddy and her dogs.”

Doctors stated that there is complexity since Luna’s nevus has grown into her eyebrows, and they will have to be removed.

However, doctors stated that the difficulties are temporary. Luna will be back for final procedures shortly.

The condition left her with a dark birthmark across her face which has seen her dubbed the “Batman” girl.
