Brave Man Props Up Babys Head In Sea After Boat Catches Ablaze With 11 Onboard

This is the dramatic moment a brave man without a life jacket props up a small bay’s head in the sea as their boat burns in the background, killing a 50-year-old woman.

The incident was filmed off the coast of Koh Rong, the second largest island in Cambodia, at around 9.30am on 21st July.

According to local reports, a boat carrying 11 villagers caught fire at sea.

Two children were among those onboard at the time of the blaze, including a baby.

Local media said the boat was carrying goods from the village of Doeum Thkov when it caught fire at sea.

After being informed of the incident, the governor of Koh Rong town sent an emergency vessel to the scene to rescue those onboard and bring them ashore.

Of the 11 passengers onboard the vessel, who all came from Doeum Thkov Village, one woman lost her life. The victim has been named as 50-year-old Hing Sros.

Later reports said the blaze was caused by a fuel leak, however the incident remains under investigation.

In the footage, a rescue vessel is seen arriving on the scene as the villagers’ boat burns in the background.

Meanwhile, several survivors, most wearing life jackets, are seen holding onto floats in the sea.

The camera zooms in on one brave man without a life jacket holding up the head of a small baby with one hand as he holds onto the float with other.
