Body Cam Captures Moment Cop Helps Woman Deliver Baby Boy In A 7 Eleven Car Park

A cop helped a woman deliver her baby boy in the car park of a 7-Eleven after she went into labour and had no time to make it to a hospital.

Deputy Jordan Ream, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, was called to the car park of a 7-Eleven located at Hwy 60 and Dover Road in Hillsborough County, Florida, at 5.30 am last night (17th August).

He was responding to a 911 call made by a man, who was not named, saying his wife was going into labour and they couldn’t make it to a hospital.

The cop’s body cam was captured the moment Ream arrived at the scene and rushed over to the woman, who was not named and immediately tried to reassure her by telling her to “breath” and “push”.

Ream can be heard repeatedly telling the woman “you are fine, you are fine” as the woman groans in pain on the front seat of her car.

The Deputy continues to encourage the woman to keep pushing until finally, the little boy is born.

Ream very carefully holds the newborn in his hands and says: “Look at your beautiful baby boy.”

After handing the baby over to its mum Ream walks over to his colleagues who congratulate him.

The newborn’s dad then comes over and shakes Ream’s hand saying: ” Thank you, man. I appreciate it.”

Sheriff Chad Chronister said: “Without hesitation, Deputy Ream jumped into action to assist this mother in labour,”

He added: “Immediately, his [Deputy Jordan Ream] training kicked in and he was able to deliver the healthy baby while keeping mom safe too. I wish Mom, Dad and their new baby boy all the happiness. Congratulations!”

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that the newborn and its mum were transferred to a hospital shortly after and are both happy and healthy.
