Chinese Man Honours Olympic Heroes With 20,000 Card Domino Trick

This is the moment a Chinese man sets up thousands of playing cards in a large hall before pushing them over to reveal the country’s 38 gold winners at the recent Tokyo Olympics.

The man, name not reported, wanted to honour China’s 38 gold medallists and carefully positioned 20,038 playing cards to reveal their images in a nifty ‘domino’ trick.

The time-lapse footage shows the man, who comes from the northern and easternmost Chinese province of Heilongjiang, setting up the cards on the floor in the large hall.

After positioning the cards in dozens of neat rows, he nudges the final card at the end and sets off a domino effect.

One by one, the fallen cards display images of China’s 38 gold medal winners.

China finished second behind the USA at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, after being rescheduled to July and August this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
