Cops Kids Pretend Bed Is Boat As Monsoon Batters Mumbai And Floods Homes

This is the moment an Indian cop’s kids make the most of a monsoon flood and pretend to use their bed as a boat while singing and dancing their blues away.

The video was filmed at an unnamed policeman’s home in the city of Mumbai in the Indian state of Maharashtra over the weekend as the monsoon season hit the region with a fury.

In the footage, the cop’s two children are seen braving the flood by pretending the bed is a boat as they cheerfully sing and dance the monsoon blues away.

Meanwhile, the house appears flooded in ankle-high rainwater after a period of incessant torrential rain in the city.

The India Meteorological Department issued a red alert in Mumbai as heavy rainfall hit the city throughout Sunday.

According to local reports, at least 32 people died and six were injured during five different storm-related incidents across Mumbai.

Uddhav Thackeray, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, held a meeting with top officials and called on rescue services to be ready to rush to any trouble spots in the city, with more bad weather expected in the coming days.

The monsoon caused power and water cuts in area and train services were disrupted due to the heavy rain.
