Cops Responding To Domestic Dispute Fatally Shoot An Armed Man
Cops shoot an armed man sitting on a bed while investigating a domestic incident in an apartment after he pulled a gun from under the sheets.
The incident occurred in an apartment residence on 1100 block of 4th Street, Southwest in the state of Washington in the United States on the 30th of April.
The video with the footage from an officer’s body camera was released today (MON) by OfficialDCPolice.
Officers were dispatched to the residence for a domestic dispute.
Upon arrival, the officers entered the apartment and started interviewing an adult female and an adult male.
The male who was sitting on a bed suddenly raised a firearm at the officers.
In response one of the officers discharged his firearm striking the suspect.
Officers rendered aid until the arrival of DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services.
The suspect, later identified as 36-year-old Terrance Maurice Parker was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The suspect succumbed to his injuries.
Terrance’s gun was recovered at the scene by the police.
The incident is currently under review by the U.S. Attorney’s Office and will be followed up by an internal investigation by MPD’s Internal Affairs Bureau.
