KURGAN Region RUSSIA: The crews of the Su-34 multifunctional fighter-bombers of the Central Military District suppressed air defence systems and destroyed a simulated enemy airfield during an exercise. The exercise took place at a training area in the Kurgan region in Russia. The Ministry of Defense of Russia shared a video of the fighter-bomber recently. During the exercise, the Su-24MR reconnaissance aircraft crews opened the field airfield area and transmitted the coordinates to the control post. With the support of the Khibiny radio-electronic complex, the Su-34 fighter-bomber crews neutralized the fake enemy’s air defense systems and launched single airstrikes against ground objectives. Fighter-bombers unleashed unguided C-13 air-to-surface missiles from various orientations and heights to destroy the fictional enemy’s airfield infrastructure and airplanes. The exercise involved 20 Su-34 fighter-bombers and Su-24MR reconnaissance aircraft, as well as more than 200 flight and engineering personnel of the mixed aviation regiment stationed in the Chelyabinsk region.
