Driver Miraculously Survives After Her Car Is Completely Crushed Between Two Lorries

This is the moment a car is completely crushed between two lorries, with its driver miraculously surviving with relatively minor injuries.

CCTV footage shows the moment the incident took place on the BR-070 motorway in the Brazilian city of Varzea Grande on 10th June.

The recording shows how the car waits behind a stationary lorry while another lorry behind the car fails to stop and crashes into it, pummelling it into the back of the first lorry.

The second lorry then runs over the part of the car that did not get rammed onto the lorry in front.

The lorry driver then manages to reverse, leaving a mangled wreckage as bystanders run over to the scene to check on the driver.

The emergency services were called and firefighters spent 40 minutes cutting out the injured woman, identified as 44-year-old Marineia Rodrigues da Silva, from the wreckage.

Though she was visibly shaken, she incredibly escaped with just a fractured nose and a fractured ankle, despite her Nissan Versa being completely crushed and written off in the accident.

A number of bystanders were also shaken by the scene they had witnessed, imagining the car’s driver to have been killed or at least badly injured.

The lorry driver who failed to apply the brakes was given a breathalyser test, which came back negative. He told the police he had become distracted.

He may be liable for negligent bodily injury if the victim decides to press charges.

At the time of reporting, Marineia was in hospital in the nearby city of Cuiaba awaiting surgery.

She told news site Fantastico: “I was convinced I would get out of there alive. I felt that desire to live, to see my family.”
