Firefighters Save Curious Girl, 4, Who Trapped Head In Hole In Floor Created For New Pipe

This is the moment Chinese firefighters save a curious little girl whose head got stuck while peering through a hole in the floor created for a new pipe.

The incident took place in Puding County in the city of Anshun in the Chinese province of Guizhou on 27th August.

The girl’s mother explained that a hole was made in the floor for a pipe that has not been fitted yet, but she never expected her little daughter to be so curious as to put her head through it.

The four-year-old girl became trapped when she stuck her head through the hole on the building’s first floor.

Her parents first tried to free her head with the use of vegetable oil, however, their efforts were unsuccessful so they turned to the local fire brigade.

According to local media, rescuers needed 40 minutes to free the girl, with one firefighter holding the girl’s legs to keep her in a vertical position as his colleague worked to free her head from the floor below.

The girl was notably frightened after the incident, but otherwise unharmed, according to reports.

The girl’s parents said they became very worried when they were unable to remove their daughter’s head from the hole, adding that they regret leaving the hole uncovered while the maintenance work was ongoing.

The mother, name not reported, said she has had several sleepless nights replaying her young daughter’s ordeal in her head.
