This is the moment a little girl tumbles backwards off the bed while enjoying a play fight with her parents and her head fortunately lands on a pillow thrown on the floor seconds before by her toddler brother.

The incident was filmed at the family home in the city of Zhanjiang in the south-eastern Chinese province of Guangdong.

The girl’s younger brother was reportedly told off for throwing pillows off the bed by his mother, however, one discarded pillow prevented his sister from potentially injuring herself.

In the footage, the little boy is seen throwing a pillow from the bed as it comes to rest against the floor and the wall.

In the next scene, the young family is seen enjoying a play fight on the bed and the girl stands on her feet and apparently throws a soft toy at her dad.

However, the force of the throw sends her tumbling backwards and she falls over the edge of the bed.

Luckily for the young girl, her head lands on the pillow tossed on the floor seconds before, apparently preventing her from a potentially serious injury.

Both parents run to the girl and the mother scoops her up into her arms for a hug as the clip ends.
