Injured Hiker Rescued On Oat Hill Mine Trail

The CHP – Golden Gate Division Air Operations H-30 was dispatched to the Oat Hill Mine Trail, in response to a complaint of an injured hiker. H-30 was able to find, conduct a hoist rescue, and transfer the hiker to the Calistoga Fairgrounds, where the hiker was further treated by firefighters and AMR, thanks to a GPS position supplied by Cal Fire Saint Helena Dispatch. The rescue was supported by Napa County Fire Department, City of Calistoga Fire Department and AMR Napa County. No further details are known.
