K9 Unit Helps Locate A Missing Senior Citizen Located In A Steep Ravine

Forsyth County, Georgia, 16th August

A Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office sergeant was able to locate a missing senior citizen whose family was deeply concerned about with the help of the K-9 unit.

K-9 unit Buzz was able to locate the senior citizen, identified as Mrs. Mary Kennedy in a steep valley beside a raging torrent behind her house in Forsyth County, Georgia on 16th of August.

In response to concerns raised by her family, the sheriff’s office launched a massive search that included uniform patrol, Special Operations Deputies (SOD), volunteers, drone teams and K-9 units.

After some time of searching, in the woods behind her house, Sgt. Sprague and K9 unit Buzz discovered the woman.

Sgt. Sprague immediately started talking to the lady. Her dangerous condition was described by him over the radio, saying she was “20 feet (3 metres) down an embankment.”

He also informed his colleagues that the woman is responsive, but will need help from the officers to get out of the ravine.

The video of the rescue concludes with the sergeant offering his companion some well-deserved praise: “Good boy, Buzz!” “Wonderful boy!”
