Man Arrested For Climbing Airport Fence And Trying To Steal Jet Plane To Fly For Holiday In Hawaii

These images shared by police show how a man hopped over an airport fence in a bid to steal an aeroplane so he could fly for a holiday in Hawaii.

But instead, he was arrested and the cops who reported on the matter said the man should realise that “life is not a videogame”.

The incident took place at Denver International Airport in Colorado in the United States when the suspect, identified as Sterlin Love, 30, from Colorado Springs, allegedly accessed the airport runway while a Gulfstream jet was taxiing and attempted to board it.

But the crew did not let him in and with good reason as according to the local sheriff’s office, he was allegedly planning to steal the jet so that he could fly to Hawaii.

In one of the images, a helicopter can be seen, which according to local media is a Denver Police Department helicopter, which monitored him until officers on the ground arrested the suspect.

The suspect faces charges of first-degree aggravated motor vehicle theft and second-degree criminal trespass, still according to the sheriff’s office.

Sharing the images of the failed plane jacking on social media, the Douglas County sheriff’s office captioned the post: “We’ve all been at the point where we needed a vacation, but this took it a little far… note to self… video games are not real… stealing a jet will not go well.”
