The shop owner, named in local reports as Vic Workman, was on the premises along with his son Riley when the incident occurred. There was also one other employee in the shop as well as six customers.

Workman told local media that the cops believe the suspect was driving between 60 and 70 mph when the car crashed into the shop. He also said that Norby had been arguing with his girlfriend, who has not been named but who was a passenger in the vehicle, shortly before veering into the store.

He then reportedly jumped out of the car and shouted “I want to die”.

Workman believes that about USD 30,000 (GBP 21,962) in damage has been done to his shop. No one was injured in the incident.

Workman said: “That’s all just stuff.”

He added: “As long as no one got hurt, that’s the main thing.”
