Meerkat Family Sunbathing At The Berlin Zoo
BERLIN ZOO, GERMANY: A meerkat family has been filmed sunbathing and playing in the sand at Berlin Zoo. The German zoo shared the cute clip on social media on 25th May. The park told Clipzilla: “Our meerkat family not only enjoys bathing in the sun. They dig caves up to three meters deep and hunt spiders, beetles and other insects outside. The group is led by an alpha male and alpha female couple. One of the group’s meerkats is always on guard so the rest of the family can peacefully go on the hunt or lie around lazily in the sun. When enemies such as big birds approach, the little guard emits a high-pitched whistle and the rest of them sweep into the caves.”
