Michigan Teacher And Churchgoer Arrested For Keeping Child Pornography On His Phone

A teacher and church member has been arrested after he was found with child pornography on his mobile phone.

David Dues, 48, who is reportedly an instructor at Mott Community College in Flint, in the US state of Michigan, was caught in a sting operation after he allegedly sought to have sexual relations with a minor aged 15.

During the investigation carried out by Genesee County Sheriff Deputies and the Genesee Human Oppression Strike Team, cops reportedly found that he had child and even infant pornography hidden in a secret folder on his smartphone.

Twenty-two of these 23 charges carry a sentence of 20 years behind bars.

According to Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson, Dues worshipped at a church in nearby Davison, where he also served as a security member.

Swanson revealed in a video posted to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page: “I believe there may be other victims out there.”

In the video, the sheriff is seen holding up a printout of Dues’ mugshot and says: “I want you to see this face and I want you to know that predators are among us. I’ve said it before, they look, and they lurk all around us.”

He urged any other potential victims of Dues to contact 911 or 810-257-3422.
