This is the moment a wooden platform suddenly collapses on a woman washing plates and traps her leg as her screaming daughter rushes to her aid.

The incident was filmed in the Chinese municipality of Chongqing and was widely shared on the social network Douyin on 13th August.

A wooden platform that was used to store firewood suddenly collapsed on a woman cleaning plates outside.

Fortunately, the mother only suffered minor injuries to her foot in the incident.

The CCTV footage shows the woman scrubbing dishes outside as her daughter approaches.

Suddenly, the overhead platform collapses and firewood falls on the mother, apparently trapping her leg in the wreckage.

Her frightened daughter screams out: “Mum, watch out.”

The girl then helps to move some of the wood to free her mother’s trapped leg before brushing her down.

According to local media, the mother only suffered minor scratches to her right foot in the incident.

Meanwhile, many netizens hailed the teen girl’s reaction with one Douyin user commenting: “I cried after hearing the girl screaming to warn her mother.”

Another netizen wrote: “The girl stopped at first but then went forwards even though there was a risk.”
