This is the moment a bolt of lightning pierces the sky behind a gold-tinged rainbow in the US state of Maryland.

The phenomenon was filmed near Flintstone in the north-eastern US state of Maryland on 28th June.

The video was shared on Twitter by netizen ‘Erick Kirchner’ on 29th June with the message: “Rainbow with lightning strike looking from Martins Mt. west of Flintstone, MD this evening (6/28/21).”

The footage shows a gold-tinged rainbow, apparently close to sunset time, arcing over a motorway as a bolt of lightning pierces the sky behind it.
