Moment Pickup Truck Explodes And Driver Climbs Out Seemingly Unscathed Seconds Later

This is the moment a parked pickup truck explodes, with its driver subsequently climbing out surprisingly unscathed.

CCTV footage shows the incident as it unfolded in the municipality of Nova Venecia in the south-eastern Brazilian state of Espirito Santo on the afternoon of Friday, 23rd July.

The recording shows how the white parked pickup truck explodes, giving off smoke and sending debris flying into buildings on the other side of the road.

Remarkably, the driver is then seen emerging through a small opening between the vehicle and its damaged door, which he is unable to open, and he is seen climbing out onto the road and walking around just seconds later.

Incredibly, he appears unscathed, and firemen later called to the scene attested to the fact that he merely sustained a few scratches in the blast, which shattered the pickup truck’s windscreen, took off most of its bonnet, and scattered debris all around.

Two other people who were not caught on the CCTV footage were on the street at the time just metres from the vehicle, and they witnessed but were uninjured in the blast.

The police were also called to the scene, but despite both the cops’ and the firemen’s work, they were unable to ascertain the cause of the blast, which remained a mystery at the time of reporting.

The identity of the man seen in the video was not divulged, but it was reported he was taken to hospital for a checkup and subsequently discharged.
