Hail almost the size of ping pong balls can be seen pounding down on the ground as severe spring storms arrive in the US.

This episode took place at Loblolly Rise wedding venue in Thomasville in the US state of Georgia over the weekend.

Twitter user Greg Tish documented the occurrence and posted the video on his Twitter profile.

Hail fell down rapidly as chunks bounced off of buildings and vehicles.

During the heavy fall, the power went out as well.

Local media report that the hail fall as part of severe storms which were forecast to bring heavy rain, damaging winds, large hail, and tornadoes.

Someone can be heard saying “I’ve never seen this before in my life” in the video.

The video, documenting the shocking hail fall ends with a joke where somebody says “Well, at least we now have ice for the dry coolers.”
