Moment Woman Saves Fluffy Newly Hatched Chick That Had Been Stepped On By Giving CPR

This is the moment a woman performs chest compressions on a tiny newborn chick that had apparently been stepped on.

The incident took place in the city of Maoming in the south-eastern Chinese province of Guangdong on 17th June.

According to the news site Weibo, Ms Zheng found the fluffy chick alone outside her front door with injuries apparently caused by being stepped on.

She said the little chick was no longer breathing and her family told her she should leave it in a quiet spot.

However, the Good Samaritan decided to try to help the chick, and carried out chest compressions until it was revived.

After saving the bird, Ms Zheng decided to take care of it until it was fully healed.

She said the bird was recovering well, but was left with an injury on its belly that she is treating with medicine applied with a cotton bud.

In the first video, Ms Zheng is seen performing CPR on the near-dead bird.

The second clip shows the bird moving around after apparently being revived by the chest compressions.

In the third video, Ms Zheng is seen applying medicine to the bird’s injury with the cotton bud.
