Officers Apprehend Armed Murder Suspect

The moment Atlanta officers apprehend and handcuff an armed murder suspect who fatally shot a person.

Atlanta Police Department received a report about a person who was shot at 1381 Kimberly Way in Southwest Atlanta on 20th July.

Officers including an off-duty sergeant, responded on the spot shortly after the report was received.

They swiftly tracked down the shooting suspect, who was still wielding a shotgun.

Officers grabbed the cover and began commanding the suspect to lay down his weapon.

The suspect ultimately obeyed the police’ commands, and they were able to apprehend her without firing a shot.

The man who was shot was taken to the hospital but died later as a result of his injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated by homicide detectives.

The Atlanta Police Department stated: “We are really pleased with both of these officers’ professionalism.

“They moved fast and collaboratively, and we feel their efforts were critical in apprehending this armed man safely.”
