Orangutans Enjoy Fruit Breakfast While Reading Fashion Magazine At Moscow Zoo

This is the moment a family of orangutans enjoy their breakfast where the big daddy scoffs the bulk of the food food while his lady partner catches up with the latest fashion by reading an Yves St Laurent magazine and weight watching by only taking a light snack.

The sight of the orangutans feeding was captured in a video filmed at Moscow Zoo in Russia on 3rd May.

The video captures the funny moment a member of the Bornean orangutans family, Lychee, ‘reads’ the Yves Saint Laurent magazine while enjoying a light snack.

The burliest of the orangutans and the head of the family, Gentan, pays more attention to the food.

He can be seen standing away from his relatives, choosing the fruits that seem the most delicious to him and settling down more comfortably to eat.

The babies Matik and Jelai seem to be interested in everything: what their relatives are doing, what is depicted on the pages of the magazine, and also how quickly they can grab a few juicy fruit slices before Gentan eats them all.

Moscow Zoo posted this video on their Instagram page with the message: “Orangutan breakfast: fruits and fresh news.”

The Bornean orangutan species is a species of orangutan native to the island of Borneo. It belongs to the only genus of great apes native to Asia.

Like the other great apes, orangutans are highly intelligent, displaying tool use and distinct cultural patterns in the wild. About 97 percent of their DNA is similar to that of humans.

The video aroused the admiration of many netizens who had fun, joking like the user named ‘_marina_marinina’ on the Instagram platform, she said: “Again people’s news. When will they finally start writing about the animal world in magazines?”

Another user named ‘izmailov_nicke’ on the same platform, commented: “You need to keep abreast of the latest news”

And the user ‘yuliya_starv’ added: ” Without the press, breakfast is not breakfast”
