A 23-year-old pervert who butchered a 14-year-old girl he had met on Facebook has been seized by police in Mexico.
Victim Kimberly Melissa Diaz Ortiz’s mutilated body was found in a motel room in Cuautla, Morelos state, after her attacker had fled.
Local media reports say Melissa and her attacker, Jorge Alberto, had arrived at the La Muga motel after being dropped off by the killer’s father on 25th June.
Investigators say Jorge Alberto overpowered the teen and stabbed her 33 times with a knife.
Her cause of death was later given as massive bleeding due to blunt chest trauma.
The killer’s father, say reports, collected his son from the motel the following morning.
The pair fled, leaving Kimberly’s body in the room.
She was buried on 29th June, while police worked to track down the father – also called Jorge – and son.
Jorge, 51, was arrested in Lazaro Cardenas, Michoacan state – a seven-and-a-half-hour drive from the crime scene – on Monday night (4th July).
His son was seized from a relatives’ house in Arteaga – an hour drive from where his father was found – the following morning.
Preliminary findings suggest Jorge Alberto had met Kimberly on Facebook, where he went by the pseudonym ‘Giorgio Palazuelos’.
The fatal meeting was reportedly only their second face-to-face encounter.
Jorge Alberto is accused of femicide and his father is accused of being an accomplice.
Local media did not report a potential motive for the crime.
