Police Pursuit Ends With A Stolen 2021 Corvette Crash In Midtown Detroit

Detroit, Michigan, 15th July

Detroit Police Department arrested two people accused of stealing a Corvette, who then crashed the vehicle in multiple cars during a police chase. The incident took place in the suburb of Novi in Detroit, Michigan on the 15th of July. According to Detroit Metro Police, a 2021 Corvette without a licence plate was reported stolen from a dealership lot. The Corvette was quickly spotted by officers near the intersection of Gratiot Avenue and Outer Drive. The officers initiated a traffic stop which the driver ignore, leading the officers to follow the car. As the driver was fleeting, the driver turned onto the I-75 Service Drive from Warren Avenue and sideswiped a van before crashing into several more parked vehicles. The two occupants of the car exited the wrecked vehicle and fled on foot. The suspects were quickly caught by the Michigan State Police and Detroit Police Department and were put under arrest. Both of the suspects were transported to the Detroit Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing.
