Prostitutes Get A New Job As Testers As Their Brothel Becomes COVID-19 Test Centre

Prostitutes have taken up roles as testers having undergone special training after their brothel in Germany was turned into a COVID-19 test centre.

It is reportedly the first ever COVID-19 testing station in one of the country’s brothels that are currently closed because of the lockdown. It opened in the halls of the Eros-Centre “Bienenstock” brothel in the town of Heidelberg in Germany.

The centre offers free tests for locals which are conducted by over 25 prostitutes, specially trained for the task.

One of the prostitutes named Jenny, 45, told Bild: “I wear a mask, gloves and a protective gown. I don’t usually appear that covered.”

The blonde woman, who said she wants to do something useful for society, added: “Also, I do this on a voluntary basis, although I currently only have around EUR 400 (GBP 345) per month to live on.

The 45-year-old woman also revealed that she considers this an ideal activity and stated: “In my regular job I also have to be sensitive. I mustn’t have any reservations. And now I’m just putting test sticks into noses.”

Additionally, the rapid test which Jenny and her colleagues are using only takes three seconds and the patients can choose to either get their result to confirm that they have the all clear or advising them if they are infected what to do via a phone message, or as a printout.

The experiment was very well received by locals who enthusiastically showed up to get tested.

Mechanic Andreas Schmitt, 40, said: “She [Jenny] does a great job!”

Brothel owner Kallie S., 57, and test station operator Kai Behrens, 26, who are supporting the project said they were happy to use the office and outdoor area of the Eros Centre for the experiment.

Regarding the free-of-charge examinations, they said: “We want to make a contribution to the fight against the pandemic and to do something good for the people.”
