Rescue Crew Saves Man Stuck At Frog Woman Rock In California

Mendocino County, California, 5 July

Mendocino County firemen asked the Sonoma Sheriff to deploy his helicopter called Henry-1, in order to rescue a guy at Frog Woman Rock, north of the border between counties Sonoma and Mendocino on 5th July. The H1 crew launched and arrived at the location 12 minutes after they were alarmed where they found the man resting after he concluded it was not safe for him to proceed climbing. The team landed nearby and tied a 100-foot line to the bottom of the helicopter. A deputy joined the line and requested to be transported towards the guy after which he strapped the victim to a rescue device and transported to the firemen stationed along Oregon Coast Highway 101.

The Sonoma Sherriff reported that he was satisfied by the great teamwork and communication by dispatch centers and rescuers involved in the mission.
