Robot Actress Excited At Signing Contract To Star In A Movie

This robot named Aypera has said that she is ‘excited’ at signing a film contract to star in a film by the producer, director and screenwriter Birol Guven.

According to the tweet shared by Guven on Twitter on 25th May, Birol’s new film ‘Digital Human’ will bring robots and people together and one of the lead roles will be played by a real robot. The film is estimated to be released in 2022.

According to the local news agency Anadolu Agency’s report, Birol emphasized that he wants to be the pioneer of change, stating that everything is changing very quickly and robots will necessarily begin to show themselves in the cinema.

Birol predicted that one day, there would be robot producers and screenwriters.

Anadolu Agency reported that the robot actress Aypera stated that she was very excited and pleased with the interest she received in Turkey while signing her first film contract.

When asked about how she felt about obtaining a job as a ‘robot actress’ she said: “I personally prefer to be called a digital actress. Actually, I’m an idea. But I know people will prefer to call me with the word they love. So I have no problem with being called a robot.”

According to the local news website Onedio’s report, Aypera is a digital character created as a CGI modified face of a real woman. However, it is not yet known who this woman is.

Aypera, who got a great interest in social media, was compared to the CGI character named Miquela Sousa, also known as Lil Miquela, created in 2016 and used to promote brands such as Calvin Klein and Prada.

Miquela Sousa has three million followers on Instagram, and Aypera who has just started her own account has almost 14,000 followers.
