Russian And Tajik Servicemen Killed Mock Militants In Tajikistan

This is the moment servicemen of the 201st military base of Russia and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan seize sections of the state border as part of a joint training exercise in Tajikistan.

The units of the 201st Russian military base and the armed forces of the Republic of Tajikistan destroyed a mock illegal armed formation at the Momirak and Sambuli training grounds on 19th to 23rd April.

At the firing stage of the exercise, tank and artillery forces planned and then conducted military actions to block and destroy a simulated enemy in the mountainous area with the support of army aviation.

The combat firing was carried out at ground targets at distances from 100 up to 5,000 metres against rivals imitating groups of militants.

The joint exercise took place under the leadership of the commander of the Central Military District, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin.

According to the Ministry of Defence of Russia, more than 3,500 servicemen took part in the tactical exercise and about 400 units of military equipment were involved in it.
