Russian Soldiers Dish Out Food To Ukrainian Residents They Claim To Have Liberated

This is the moment invading Russian soldiers dish out food to Ukrainian residents they claim to have “liberated”.

The images were filmed in the settlement of Ivankiv in the northern Ukrainian region of Kyiv Oblast on the afternoon of 11th March.

The Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) posted footage of invading soldiers handing out food, including cereals and canned goods, to a line of Ukrainian residents.

The Russian military said they ‘helped’ women, children, and elderly Ukrainian citizens in the area.

In a statement, the MoD said: “Russian military personnel delivered over 20 tons of humanitarian aid to residents of the district of Ivankiv in the Kiev region.

“Those liberated by the Russian Army received food and essentials in settlements of the region. Assistance included food – cereals, canned meat and fish, confectionery and baked products, cakes and sweets, bottled drinking water.”

The Russian MoD added: “The entire humanitarian cargo was handed over to the residents of the settlements of the Kiev region – women, children, and also the elderly.”

On 24th February, Russian president Vladimir Putin announced a “special military operation” to “demilitarise and denazify” the Ukraine minutes before missiles rained on the sovereign European country.

Putin’s invasion has caused millions of people to flee Ukraine, sparking Europe’s biggest refugee crisis since World War II.
