Shock Moment 2 Paramedics Pummel Vomiting Woman In Lift At Russian Hospital
This is the shocking moment two medical workers at a Russian psychiatric hospital beat a female patient in a lift as soon as the doors close.
The incident was filmed at a psychiatric hospital in the city of Yaroslavl in the Russian region of Yaroslavl Oblast, and the footage was shared on social media on 23rd August.
The CCTV footage shows two medical workers escorting the female patient, named Alena, 30, into the lift.
The woman, who appears hysterical, vomits down her chin and seems to fight for breath as the lift doors close.
One paramedic then pummels the side of the woman’s body with his fist before his colleague apparently punches her head.
The two workers then tie her hands more tightly and seemingly manhandle her in the lift as she tries to avoid being taken out.
The footage ends with the first paramedic punching the side of her face.
According to the news site Life, there were traces of blood on the floor after all three exited the lift.
The Health Department of Yaroslavl Oblast said Alena was examined by a therapist and a neurologist at the psychiatric facility after the incident and no serious injuries were found.
However, the news site MK said the female patient would have certainly displayed bruising and other marks after such a violent incident.
According to MK, Alena never showed signs of mental health issues before a car accident several years ago that her family believes resulted in long-term injuries and psychological effects.
The news site Life said the police have launched two investigations, one for the incident in the lift and another for the illegal hospitalisation of the patient in a psychiatric hospital.
Meanwhile, the two workers seen in the footage have reportedly been suspended from their duties.
There have been no further updates on Alena’s current condition as the investigation continues.
