The dog’s owner, identified only by his surname as Mr Zhao, said he has been showing his pooch how to skateboard every day for over a year.

The pair, who lives in Shenyang in the Chinese province of Liaoning, regularly take to the city’s parks and walkways to practice their beloved pastime.

Mr Zhao said his dog is very skilful and can perform stunts on its skateboard, including spinning around while on the move and being able to balance its weight to turn corners and avoid obstacles.

In the footage, the cute dog, sometimes seen wearing a gold chain and waistcoat, whizzes along city areas on its skateboard.

In one clip, residents strolling on a city square are stunned to see the little pooch powering along on the skateboard and performing neat tricks.

In another video, the dog goes down some steps on the board before shifting its weight and turning right.

The skateboarding-crazy dog then expertly weaves among a group of landscape gardeners and their carts before using its hind leg to pick up more speed.
