Surgeon Slammed For Dancing For TikTok Video While Performing Surgery On Pregnant Woman

This is the moment doctors smile and dance for the camera as they record a TikTok video while in the middle of performing surgery on a pregnant woman.

The Tunisian authorities have since opened an investigation into the hospital in the northern city of Beja at which the clip, which later went viral, was filmed.

The team carrying out the procedure has been accused of breaching medical ethics, violating the patient’s privacy, and putting her health and safety at risk.

The clip shows how a nurse records herself and the doctors around her as one of the surgeons turns to the camera and gives a little jiggle while the patient’s mid-body region appears to be open.

According to regional health director Elyes Ammar, the video was recorded with the consent of the patient, who he revealed was a pregnant woman, while adding that anyone found to have broken the law would be punished.

Ammar also said: “The medical personnel who appeared in the video had a breakdown following the wave of criticism against them, especially given that they had spent over six consecutive days in the intensive care unit.”

The regional health director added that they filmed the video to express their happiness at the operation’s success and that they had no bad intentions, also noting that they were taking care of patients while their critics were “at home watching TV”.

The investigation into the medical personnel involved in the incident is ongoing.

It was not revealed what the operation was that the patient underwent.
