Tracker Device Finds Womans Beloved Pet Dog Killed And Being Sold By Dog Butcher

These shocking images show a cooked, dismembered pet dog shortly after its owner reported it stolen and then tracked it down to a dog-meat store using its microchip.

The dog owner, who wished to remain anonymous, told AsiaWire that her four-year-old Shiba Inu dog called Chuqi was stolen during a morning walk in the city of Zhuhai in the Chinese province of Guangdong.

She said her father was walking the dog off its lead when it ran into an alley and promptly disappeared.

As the dog was microchipped, she tried to find Chuqi with a tracking device that told her the animal had travelled outside the local area before disappearing outside the city of Zhongshan.

The pet owner reported the incident to the police and drove to the last area the dog was tracked on the device.

After arriving in the area, know for selling dog meat, she saw animal parts in a plastic bag in a shop managed by an elderly woman.

She then spotted her dog’s microchip and in her own words she pretty much “lost it”, adding: “I could not hit or tell anyone off, my hands were shaking so much.

“I felt angry, resigned, and helpless. Tears began to pour as soon as I got in my car.”

She also called on members of the public to help find the culprits who stole her dog and apparently sold it to the dog-meat store.

Zhuhai City prohibited the consumption of cat and dog meat last April, however, the nearby city of Zhongshan has no such laws in place.

Numerous local authorities, animal rights groups, and activists have been protesting the trade of dog meat in China for many years.

An annual dog-meat festival has been held in the city of Yulin in the bordering province of Guangxi despite the local authorities withdrawing its official support in 2014 under pressure from animal rights groups.

Last month, animal activists reportedly found 68 dogs outside Yulin that were destined for slaughterhouses. The canines were then transferred to a local animal shelter.

Animal activist Chen Qiang said: “We have been working toward cracking down the dark trades of dogs and cats.

“Things are moving forward in Zhuhai, but in Zhongshan, market regulators and city officials defer responsibility to each other… the elderly woman continues to sell.”

Meanwhile, the police investigation into the theft of Chuqi continues. No suspects have been arrested yet.
