Tulsa Police Officers Attacked With Rocks After Investigating Gunfight

Aerial footage shows a dramatic shooting incident in a parking lot where one woman was injured and officers were attacked with rocks after responding to reports of a gun battle.

The Tulsa Police Department responded to a large gathering of people in the parking lot located at 2600 North Yale Avenue in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the United States on the 2nd of May.

Durgin the gathering a large gunfight erupted and one woman was struck in the hand.

A Tulsa Police Department Air Support Unit was in the area and caught some of the gunfire on camera. Officers were informed and arrived quickly on location.

They managed to arrest one of the shooters identified as Damani Dickson.

The police located a loaded AR-15 pistol in the SUV with two magazines attached to one another, namely a 30 round and 40 round magazine.

Damani Dickson admitted to the police that he fired into the crowd with no particular target.

As the Officers were trying to investigate further, a crowd formed and started yelling at the officers.

Some in the crowd even started to throw rocks at the officers.

In order to keep this crowd at a distance, Pepperballs were deployed to the area which was effective.

One person however managed to throw a rock which struck one of the officers in the head.

The Air Unit was able to keep an eye on him until the officers could stop his car and arrest him. The man was identified as Daione Williams.

The police revealed that they have arrested three other people, but they were released.

The Tulsa Police Department is still searching for other shooters that were involved.
