Turkish Man Beats Woman On Camera And Says He Will Not Be Punished
This is the moment a Turkish man beats his wife after arriving home and tells her “even if I kill you, I will not be punished”.
The incident was filmed in the southern Turkish city of Adana on 14th April, and the man in the footage has reportedly been arrested after his wife filed a complaint with the police.
The suspect’s wife, who is an Iranian national, identified by her initials G. A. A., claimed that he had subjected her and her child to constant threats and physical abuse for over two years.
The suspect, who was identified with his initials as Z. C., says in the footage: “Even if I kill you, I will not be punished. The worst penalty I could get is three to five months at most. I will risk everything.”
The suspect also turns to the cameraperson and says: “I will destroy you.”
Meanwhile, a child’s voice is heard telling the beaten woman: “Don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid.”
The footage also shows the suspect apparently hitting the woman and kicking her while she is on the ground.
Adana Governorship made a written statement after the images of G. A. A., which she was battered by her husband Z. C. was shared on social media.
The Adana Governorship stated that the woman had filed a complaint claiming she and her child have been subjected to abuse for over two years.
The Adana Governorship added that the suspect Z. C., who was detained on 14th April, was arrested by the judicial authorities on 15th April and handed over to prison.
The investigation is ongoing.
