Two Lorries Collide On Motorway And End Up Crushing Taxi Killing One And Injuring Three
This is the shocking moment a lorry driver rams into another HGV at speed on a motorway and ends up smashing into a stationary taxi on the side of the road, killing one and injuring three others.
The incident was filmed near the city of Handan in the north-eastern Chinese province of Hebei at 1.58pm on 2nd June.
According to the local authorities, a lorry driver collided into another heavy goods vehicle (HGV) on National Highway 309.
The out-of-control lorry then smashed into a stationary taxi that had just dropped off a passenger.
The local authorities confirmed that one person, identity not disclosed, was killed in the accident and three other people were injured.
The lorry driver who collided into the other HGV and crashed into the taxi has been identified as Mr Li, however it is unclear if he was one of the casualties and whether he faces charges for the accident.
In the footage, Mr Li’s lorry is seen ramming into an adjacent HGV while apparently trying to overtake it.
Both lorries then career towards the stationary taxi moments after a passenger gets out.
Mr Li’s lorry pushes the taxi along an entrance area and crushes it against a wall and an embankment at high speed.
The investigation is ongoing.
