HOLIDAY SPEEDBOAT HORROR: Boy’s Severe Head Injuries After Falling Onto Boat Propeller

A seven-year-old boy suffered severe head injuries after falling from a motorboat and hitting the propeller at a children’s holiday sailing school.

The marina – on the Spanish holiday island Majorca – had been holding a sailing course when the boy slipped from a boat.

As he fell into the sea, report local media, he hit his head on the propeller causing serious injuries.

The youngster had been attending classes at the Club Maritimo Sant Antonio de la Playa in Can Pastilla resort on14th July.

A group of children were getting into a motorboat, which was being used to tow a sailing boat, when the boy fell and hit the propeller.

He reportedly suffered serious injuries to his head and his arm.

The club’s monitors immediately informed lifeguards who carried the boy onto dry land with the help of a doctor who was on site when the accident took place.

Paramedics were able to stabilise the boy before taking him to the Son Espases University Hospital in the island’s capital Palma.

The Civil Guard has taken charge of the investigation to establish the events leading up to the incident.

The local authorities are trying to determine if there was any kind of negligence involved in the boy’s injuries.

There have been no further updates on the youngster’s current condition.
