CHEEKY MONKEY: Photobombing Chimp Gatecrashes Family Snap
A chimpanzee stole the show when he photobombed a family’s happy snap with a huge cheeky grin.
A proud mum had assembled her child in front of the ape enclosure at the zoo in Nantong, Jiangsu province, eastern China, for a family photo.
But she had not bargained for a selfie-loving chimp who wanted to join in the fun.
As the youngster posed, the chimp began kissing the enclosure’s toughened glass.
Then as the pair began grinning, the chimp could not stop itself from proving that when monkeys see, they certainly do.
This video went viral all over Chinese social media and users were quick to join in the fun.
Netizen ‘yuz ban xia’ commented: “The two of you look like you were carved out of the same block.”
Another, ‘Ms. Goodby’, commented: “The orangutan is your second child, right?”
The chimpanzee is a species of great ape native to the forest and savannah of tropical Africa. It has four confirmed subspecies and a fifth proposed subspecies.
Chimps are social animals that live in groups that range in size from 15 to 150 members, although individuals travel and forage in much smaller groups during the day.
