This is the viral moment a determined dachshund fights to climb up on the family’s sofa and tumbles down the gap between the furniture.

The cute clip was posted on the ‘Hotdog Henry’ TikTok page, which boasts 200,000 followers, by the dachshund’s owner Robert Capone, 26, from the US city of Philadelphia.

In the footage, little-legged Henry is seen frantically trying to jump onto the sofa before diverting its attention to an orange pouffe.

From there, the cute puppy tries to get on the sofa, but finds its path blocked by the armrest.

Approaching the sofa from the other side, the determined dachshund thinks it has found a clear route, but is foiled by a gap between the furniture and falls bottom-first to the floor.

The TikTok video has been viewed 10.5 million times and received over 4.3 million reactions, and is not the only clip to go viral on the page.

Robert told Newsflash: “I never expected my videos would get so many views.”

He explained: “We got Henry from a breeder in Pittsburgh. He’s a dachshund, and his favourite food is chicken liver and he does not like baths yet!

“We love to take him out for walks and play fetch. He really likes to climb things, whether it’s a couch, an ottoman, or chair, he always wants to be on higher ground.”

Robert told Newsflash: “Just look at Henry’s face, how could you not love him?”
