This is the moment a dog makes off with an influencer’s phone after she sets it down to film her washing her new car.

The amusing scene was filmed at a petrol station in the district of Beylikduzu in the European side of Istanbul in north-western Turkey.

Ebrar Ahsen Dinc, 18, said she arrived at the petrol station to wash her car and wanted to share the moments on Instagram for her followers.

She rested the phone against a wall and went to use the jet wash to scrub up her car.

But when she looked around, she noticed her phone had disappeared and all she could see was a dog ambling away.

Realising the cheeky pooch had nabbed her phone, the young woman chased after it until the animal dropped it on the ground for her to retrieve.

Ebrar told Newsflash: “I went to the petrol station yesterday to wash my car. I wanted to share those moments with my followers by shooting a short video.

“As no one was with me, I set my phone down and walked back to the jet wash.

“I turned around to check my phone and saw it was not there. In shock I shouted ‘where is my phone?’ and noticed no one else was around, only a dog walking quickly away.

“The dog had my phone in its mouth. I started to calmly pace towards it. I did not run in case I scared the dog and it ran off with my phone.

“The dog then accidentally dropped it from its mouth and when it tried to pick it up again, I did not give it a second chance and sprinted over and got my phone.”

She added: “I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.”

Ebrar told Newsflash: “Workers at the petrol station, who saw what happened, also came to help me.

“I received a lot of comments after it was shared in the media. Of course, some trolls couldn’t make sense of the incident and made absurd comments like ‘why did you put your phone there’ and ‘why make such a video’, but when I shared the video on Instagram, my followers laughed a lot.”

Ebrar said she is a student at the cooking school owned by celebrity chef Mehmet Yalcinkaya, adding: “I am also an influencer who loves to travel.”
