This is the moment a huge snake bites onto a man’s face after he opens its cage to check on it.

The incident was filmed at a property in Vietnam and the footage has been widely shared on social media.

Hanoi Online shared the video with the message: “The video captures the man opening the cage door to check the python lying in it.

“Due to carelessness, he was attacked by the python and bitten on his face. Fortunately, people came to rescue him.

“The most frightening thing about raising dangerous animals like this is that they eat meat all the time.”

According to local reports, the man, name not disclosed, had not been paying enough attention when he opened the snake’s cage to check it when it suddenly lashed out and latched onto his face.

Three people rushed to help the man as the snake remained fixed to the victim’s face.

In the CCTV footage, the snake is seen striking at the man’s face and hanging on as he steps back from the cage which appears to be in a backyard.

A woman holding a toddler tries to help the man and ends up sounding the alarm to others in the house.

Three others rush out and a man and a woman try to free the snake from the victim’s face.

According to reports, the snake was eventually pulled off the man and he did not suffer any life-threatening injuries.
