JILTED KILLER TORTURE HORROR: He Stabbed Ex 60 Times In Three-Hour Agony

A killer who tortured his ex for three hours before stabbing her more than 60 times has been jailed for 17 years.

Jilted Vladislav Kanyus, 25, subjected victim Vera Pekhteleva, 23, to hours of agony when she turned up at his apartment to collect her belongings.

The regional court in Kemerovo, Russia, heard how he throttled her with the electric cable of an iron before slicing her face to ribbon.

Her screams were so loud, the court was told, that neighbours called police at least seven times, but not a single officer was sent to help.

Vera’s body was only found when her brother and the apartment’s owner broke in on 14th January 2020.

Inside, they also found a drunken Kanyus, who was sat in the bathroom talking to himself and clasping a bloodied knife.

Judges sentenced him to 17 years behind bars in a tough strict-regime penal colony on 28th July.

He was found guilty of murder with extreme cruelty but was declared not guilty of rape and unlawful imprisonment.

The couple had shared the apartment for two years before splitting, with Vera moving out two months before she was killed.

Her relatives have said they will appeal the sentence, as they want to see the killer imprisoned for life.

Meanwhile, two members of the police department and three emergency telephone number operators are on trial for negligence over their lack of action on the day.

One cop had even suggested on a phone call with an operator that they did not have enough petrol to get anyone to the scene.
