Minnesota Mum Slits Babys Throat Before Dumping Body In Bin

A Minnesota mum has been charged with slitting her three-month-old baby’s throat before dumping his body in the bin outside her block of flats.

Fardoussa O. Adbillahi, 26, was arrested in Minnesota at around 8.20am on Sunday morning.

According to the criminal complaint over the alleged killing, a man called the emergency services at around 6.30am on Sunday to ask for a welfare check for the three-month-old boy.

The man, name not reported, claimed the baby had gone missing and that the mother told him she threw the body in a dumpster after putting it in a garbage bag.

Officers on the scene interviewed several witnesses as requested by the suspect’s mother who also expressed concerns about the baby’s wellbeing based on comments Adbillahi made about the infant.

The suspect lived alone with the young baby in the flat.

The police carried out a search of the area and found the baby’s dead body in an outside bin, wrapped in a rubbish bag along with some blankets and several knives, according to the Star Tribune.

Under questioning, the suspect reportedly said that the baby had been suffering from anxiety and severe headaches since his birth on 5th August.

She is also quoted as saying that the father “denied the child was his”.

Adbillahi allegedly confessed to killing her son, adding that he had been crying in the lead up to her stabbing him.

The complaint also said that she “demonstrated that she cut across the throat” with a knife.

The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office concluded that the baby died of multiple stab wounds to the neck, ruling it as homicide.

On Tuesday, the defendant appeared at the Stearns County District Court where she was charged with one count of second-degree murder with intent but without premeditation.

She was reportedly held on a bond of USD 2 million without conditions and USD 1 million with conditions, and is next due to appear in court on 13th December.

Stearns County Sheriff’s office confirmed that the 26-year-old was in jail on a murder charge after being booked on 28 November at her address in St Cloud in Minnesota 56301.

The death of the infant is St Cloud’s fifth homicide so far in 2021 which is a grim new record the city that has almost 70,000 inhabitants.
