Putin Provokes NATO And Ukraine With War Games As He Sets Up Huge Field Camp In Belarus

The footage shows the completion of the Russian field camp at a Belorussian training centre amidst escalating tensions between NATO countries and the former Soviet world power over Ukraine.

Servicemen of the Russian motorized infantry formation of the Eastern Military District’s (EMD) combined arms army have finalized the deployment of a field camp at the Brestsky training centre located in the Republic of Belarus.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, the field camp contains all the necessary equipment for the military personnel’s well-being in the field including canteens and medical facilities.

The canteens will organize three hot meals per day for the soldiers, while their tents are set to maintain a comfortable living air temperature.

A well-equipped medical unit along with a heavy stock of medicines should help diagnose and fight various diseases.

Additionally, EMD servicemen managed to install motor pools, fueling and repair stations, after which they placed depots of fuel and ammunition in the exercise area.

Aside from places for combat training which is currently ongoing between Russian and Belorussian servicemen, the camp provides bath and laundry facilities, places for cultural and leisure activities, and sports and recreation points.

The Ministry reported that the inspection will take place in two stages and explained them by stating: “At the first stage, by 9th February, the redeployment and creation of groups of troops (forces) will be carried out as soon as possible on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, the organization of the protection and defence of important state and military facilities, the protection of the state border in the airspace, checking the readiness and ability of the air defence forces and means on duty to perform tasks to cover important objects on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

“During the second stage of the inspection (from 10th to 20th February), a joint exercise Union Courage–2022 will be held, within the framework of which the issues of suppressing and repelling external aggression, as well as countering terrorism and protecting the interests of the Union State will be worked out.

“During the exercise, measures will be taken to strengthen the protection of the state border to prevent the penetration of armed groups of militants, to block the channels of weapons and ammunition delivery, as well as to search, block, destroy illegal armed formations and sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the enemy.”

According to the ministry, the troops’ practical actions are set to take place at the Domanovsky, Gozhsky, Obuz-Lesnovsky, Brestsky and Osipovichsky ranges along with other areas located on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

Moreover, the forces plan to use the airfields Baranovichi, Luninets, Lida and Machulishchi.

It was announced that the number of personnel and equipment involved in the exercise does not exceed the parameters defined by the Vienna Document of 2011.
