Sad Images Of Chernihiv City After Russian Bomb Attack Throughout The Night

The Ukrainian emergency services have shared heartbreaking images of Chernihiv City this morning following a night of shelling by Russian forces that included the destruction of a nursery school.

The Ukrainian authority (the State Emergency Service of Ukraine) said Chernihiv, in the northern Ukrainian region of Chernihiv Oblast, was under siege all through the night and, despite levelling several buildings, only one woman was injured.

The emergency services also reported bombing in the country’s capital Kyiv and second-largest city Kharkiv during the night.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, 44, said the fifth day of Russia’s assault will be “crucial” for his country.

In Chernihiv, a nursery school, a market shop, and an apartment block were reportedly hit by Russian missiles during the night.
